Ellie grew up in rural South Carolina, her childhood set to an orchestra of crickets, bonfires, and the occasional bad decision with a country boy.
She's not a fan of four-wheelers, thanks to one of those bad decisions, but she loves the outdoors. The lyrics: 'nothing could be finer than to be in Carolina in the morning' hold a special place in her heart. Though she has to admit that there are parts of the South she could live without. Heat waves, Palmetto bugs, Banana spiders, mosquito-infested ponds.
But none of the bad ever mattered when she was walking down a literal red dirt road in the middle of nowhere holding the hand of a boy with good intentions (or even bad ones).
